Frequently Asked Questions


- Early Check In?

Unfortunately we can never promise an early check in but we will do our best. 

It all depends on when guests are checking out from the night before and when our cleaning staff can start cleaning the room. 

You are always welcome to relax in our common area while waiting. 

Use your door code to get into the house and wait for us to arrive at 8am.

We will happily store your luggages for you when we arrive. Coffee and tea is available for you while you wait. 

- How will I check in?


We offer self service check in where you will receive a door code to get into the building. 

The code is only for the front door. Folders with your name on it will contain your room key.

The door code is sent out 4 days prior to arrival and on your check in date.

You can also simply just push on our door bell for assistance in case you don't have or forget your code number. 

Easy and fast check in and check out. No need to let us know when you will be arriving. 

Your key will be waiting for you inside with instructions and helpful information. 

Please note that we charge your card on file on your check in date to make your check in fast and easy* 


-- Check in is after 1 pm (13:00) and check out is before 11 am (11:00)

-- All Non Refundable Reservation will be charged when reservations are made and will not be refunded if cancelled.*

-- Reservations booked on our website ( will be fully refunded if cancelled up to one day (24 Hours) before check in day.



- Can you drive me to the airport?

Yes we can. We offer free transport to KEF airport on fixed hours after 5am - 8am*.

Ask us about our drop off service in the lobby after 5am or email us ahead of time.

*For other hours please contact us after check in.

- Can you pick me up at KEF airport?

Unfortunately we do not offer that service. The 55 Bus, other shuttle services or taxi are your best options if you don´t have a rental car.

We do not recommend people to walk from KEF airport during winter or windy summer weather. 

- How can I get to you?

We recommend our guests to either take the 55 bus from KEF airport down to Keflavik City.

or by taking a taxi from KEF airport directly to us. The ride will take around 2 - 10 minutes depending on taxi or bus.

The bus is much more affordable than a taxi but the taxi goes much faster and its much easier to find and use.  

Our closes bus stop is called Hringbraut / Melteigur.

- What are your rates?

Our rates really varies on seasons and availability. We always recommend people to book on our site and receive the best cancellation policy as well as the most flexible moderation if needed.

We need a credit card to book a room so all reservations are done on our websites and not via phone or email.

- What is your availability?


We ask people to look online to see what we have available. We recommend people to book at leased 3 months ahead due to popular demand on some of our rooms (for example our double room). Click Here to see availability and rates. 

- Do you work with travel agencies?

- Is there breakfast?

We want to keep our rates as low as possible so we do not offer breakfast.

But we do offer complimentary coffee and tea in our common areas. 

We offer a dining area for you to enjoy your own food in case you bring some with you.

We have all the initial things for dining, such as cutlery, plates and glasses. There is also a microwave available downstairs.

There is a really good breakfast places called Fernado´s on Hafnargata. 

Park Inn also sells breakfast from 5 am - 10 am. 



Important: Please note to Prebook your Blue Lagoon admission before arriving to Iceland.

The Blue Lagoon is about 20 minutes away. Your fast and easiest way to the Blue Lagoon is by the Blue Express. In case you would like another option to the Blue Lagoon you can also 

book transport to and from KEF airport. In case you decide to book pick up and drop off from KEF airport you will have to book a taxi from us and back or use our Drop off service between 5am - 8am to KEF airport. Ask us for other hours. 


In case you wont get admission to the lagoon we highly recommend trying one of our public pools.

- Where can I book day tours?

- Will there be someone at Nupan during the day?


There is always someone in our home between 8 am - 3 pm. 

At any time we are there, even after 3 pm, don´t be shy asking us for information.

- Where can I rent a car?

- Do you have WIFI?

Yes, we offer a high speed WiFi and it is available troughout the whole house.

- Where can I park my car?


Free private parking is possible on site (reservation is not needed).

Only available for staying guests. 

Nupan does not take any responsibilities for parked cars.

- Will there be someone at Nupan during the day?


We try to keep the concierge desk open as long as possible.

We will always be available in the lobby from 8 am - 1 pm.

After that you can always to or call us at 565.3333 for any questions.


- Where can I find useful information if no one is at the concierge desk?


We have an information desk in our common area as well as if you need to tell us or ask us something you can always use

the lobby phone or write your comments on a board thats located in the lobby. 


- Can we add an extra bed?


Unfortunately we can not add any extra beds in our rooms.

Only baby cribs.

We do how ever offer discount on upgrates to a larger room size.  


- Can we use the hot tub?


Absolutely ! 

Information on how to turn it on can be found in our common area. 

We ask all guest to take a shower before entering the hot tub.


- Are there any pets at Nupan?


As much as we love animals we do not have any. 


- Are there any Extra Fees?

- Where can we get food?


We have a lot of great resturants in Keflavík. We highly recommend two places.

A place called Fernando's, Library as well as a place called DUUS.

In case you want to save some money, we have three places where you can buy some groceries called Iceland 24/7, Netto and Bonus.

- Can we park our car? -

Yes, we offer free parking to all our staying guests.

Our parking lot is only for our guests and unidentified vehicles will be towed.
